not sure if that helps you...

I saw something impossible - 2 marriages

Dates of children shows she could not have been the wife of Isaac Buck. She is buried as Bertram.

Orange Bartram was son of John Bartram and Hannah Buck (maiden name Craw).

I am trying to find something that proves that Hannah Buck Bartram was Hannah Craw.

Re: BARNUM - SHEPARD Family Photograph

Heather Gray

I am a Barnum descendent. If I'm correct, doing this off the top of my head, the Reverend's father, Daniel, would be a brother to my direct ancestor Caleb or Thomas. I may be confusing the generations. I don't have access to my tree at the moment so can't clarify. All Barnums from Danbury in that time frame do descend from a Thomas Barnum, who immigrated to Connecticut early 1700's. He was a lawyer. I'm sorry I can't be more exact, as I said I don't have access to my tree right now. If you don't find any other takers, I would be thrilled to add to my album of Barnum family photos.
Great find!

Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding this couple:

Rev. Frederick Shepard BARNUM was b. 3 Feb 1837 in Bethel, CT to parents Daniel E. BARNUM (1799-1881) and Charlotte or Charlotta SHEPARD (1807-1886) who were married 17 Jan 1827 in Danbury, CT.  Frederick was one of 12 children born to this couple including, Baby Girl; Sarah B.; Joanna; Baby Girl; Emily Augusta; Oliver Shepard; Baby Girl; Rev. Frederick Shepard; Julia Shepard; Baby Girl;  Oliver; and Edmund Bragdon BARNUM, all born between 1827 and 1844.  His Father Daniel was married previously and had to additional children including, Lewis Smith BARNUM and Isaac Williams BARNUM born in 1822 and 1824 respectively.

Frederick married Esther M. LEE (1835-1929) on 19 Apr 1860 and they had four children including, William Johnson; Frederick “Fred” Lee; Louis Lawrence; and Oliver Shepard BARNUM, all born between 1861 and 1867. Frederick died 27 Mar 1911 in Kingston, NY and is buried in the Wiltwyck Cemetery in Kingston, NY.  Esther M. LEE was b. 13 Feb 1835 in New York to parents Ashbel B. LEE (1808-1872) and Isabella HILL (1810-1891) and it appears that she was their only child.  Esther died 25 Jan 1929 and is buried along with her husband in the Wiltwyck Cemetery in Kingston, NY.

I am hoping to locate someone from this family so that the photograph can be returned to the care of family.  If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me.

Re: ATKINSON Family Photograph

Harvey Conklin Hilton

Hi Shelly,
Below is info on Cynthia "Cindy"  Bartlett.  She would be age 80 and I believe still living in Harrington, ME
Here is how I got there.
Oland's mother was Ella Blanche Ingalls. Oland had no children.
Ella's sister was Florence May Ingals 1894-1985 who married Eli John Barlett 1888-1955.
Florence and Eli had a son Thurland Arthur Bartlett 1912-1965 who married Gertrude H Reedy 1912-1986.
Thurland & Gertrude had a son Leonard Fredrick Bartlett 1938-1985 who married Cynthia Francis Small 1940-living (see above).
I don't know if or how many children they may have had. Any children would be blood relatives of Ella and son Oland.
This is about the closest relative I could find.
Good Luck,
Harvey

I've "rescued" an old photograph of Oland I. ATKINSON age 2 years and Ella B. I. ATKINSON age 23 years which is dated 25 Dec 1915 and includes the inscription "A Merry Xmas".    Based on limited research I was able to find the following information regarding Oland and his Mother Ella:

Oland I ATKINSON was b. 5 Dec 1913 in Bar Mills or Buxton, ME to parents Laurence H. ATKINSON (1893-1970) and Ella Blanche INGALLS (b. Dec 1892) who were married 8 Jan 1913 in Buxton, ME.  Oland’s Mother died and his father remarried Maybell E. BOYLE (1898-1983) but it doesn’t appear that they had more children. Oland married twice, first to Margaret Etherl CORLISS EVELETH (1913-1992) on 11 May 1936 in Portsmouth, NH and second to Joy BLACKDEN SHANAHAN (1929-2017) in 1952.  Oland died 16 Mar 1969 in East Windsor, CT and is buried in the Arlington Cemetery in Windham Center, ME.

His Mother was Ella Blanche INGALLS b. Dec 1892 in Maine to parents Malcolm Vincet INGALLS (1872-1958) and Eva M. ELWELL (b. 1873).  Ella was one of three children born to the couple including Ella Blanche; Florence M.; and Elston Paul INGALLS, all born between 1892 and 1911.  It appears that Ella passed away sometime between the time this photograph was taken and about 1920.

I’m hoping to locate someone from this family so that the photograph can be returned to their care.  If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be please contact me.
